About
Jeffrey Dale Nichols disappeared under suspicious circumstances on June 8, 2004. He was supposed to meet his ex-wife and 7-year-old son for breakfast at a McDonalds in Midvale, Utah but never arrived and hasn’t been seen since.
Jeff’s vehicle, a white 2000 Ford Ranger, was towed from the 4800 South State Street block on July 15, 2004.
As family and friends, we do not believe Jeff would voluntarily leave his son, Sam, his new girl friend, or his family. The Salt Lake City Police Department is calling his case suspicious, especially because there has been no account activity on his bank or credit cards since he disappeared, nor any unusual activity in the months and years prior.
We do not know whether or not Jeff’s ex-wife, Shelby, had any involvement or knowledge regarding Jeff’s disappearance. Shelby was indicted on nine counts of Federal Bankruptcy charges in March of 2005. She avoided the summons by moving with Sam leaving no forwarding address. Shelby’s parents, Vernon and Barbara Brown, also moved without a forwarding address in May 2005.
The Nichol’s family is offering up to a $10,000 reward. For information leading to a resolution in Jeff’s case.
